Dress Ups

Addy had a lot of fun playing with Grandma Farol while we were there visiting.
She was a good sport to play dress ups with Addy.

Grandma Farol's Cabin

We had a lot of fun sledding in Pine Valley. Although it was only 4 degrees, we still went down the hill once! We got stuck at the cabin due to car trouble...but we couldn't ask for a better place or better company, Heidi, Braden, Grandma, and Aunt Laursie.

Game Night!

Craig and I think we're so funny.
We had just eaten dinner and neither of us felt like doing the dishes. We were reminiscing about when we used to play the "dice game" with Craig's family up at the cabin after a big meal. We would each take turns rolling until someone got doubles, that person then had to get up and work on the dishes until someone else rolled doubles and would then take the place of the person doing the dishes.
So we decided to have some friends over to play the game. Jodi and Liora were sitting out on the grass...prime victims for our little game. We tried to make the invitation casual, but they were suspicious from the get go. They came in and played though... and they were good sports! I had a hard time taking it seriously (even though it was part of the plan). Craig gets the credit for coercing me into this one!

Ice Skating in Rockefeller Center

Ice Skating was such a highlight we wanted to devote a separate post. We did some sweet tricks and an awesome crash. We really debated it, because it wasn't cheap, and we had to wait in line. We decided to just do it, and we are so glad. The people there were so nice, everyone was happy and friendly (aside from the lady who had to be rushed off in an ambulance). Certainly a highlight we will not soon forget.

New York City before Christmas

Aubree and I went to New York City before Christmas. We were joined by my parents and had a sweet time. We stayed in Times Square, saw Les Miserables, the WTC and Statue of Liberty. We also went to a sobering Jewish History Museum. We went Ice Skating at Rockefeller Center, went to the Today show, saw the Rockettes, went shopping on 5th avenue, and loved Central Park. New York City is really a fascinating place. Les Miserables was life altering. We had seen the musical Wicked before and loved it. Les Mis is in a whole new dimension of entertainment/enlightenment. What a masterpiece. We missed Addy, but Aubree and I had a real nice time. Priceless.
